The Adolescent Years is a website of general information for parents of teenagers. This page explains what information is involved when you use it.
What we collect
We don't ask you to create an account, sign up, or give us any personal information to read the site. We don't run advertising, and we don't sell or share personal information.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you, and we don't add you to any list.
Cookies and third-party services
The site itself doesn't set cookies for tracking or advertising. Two services help deliver it:
- Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, and may set strictly necessary security cookies.
- Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends a request, including your IP address, to Google's servers.
If we add analytics or a mailing list in the future, we'll update this page to describe them before they go live.
Links to other websites
Our guides link to other organizations, such as health agencies, crisis services and publishers. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit their sites.
Children
This site is written for parents and other adults. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
